VPN Rules
The VPN Rules page allows you to:
- View details of the rules the service will observe.

A rule consists of the following properties:
- Rule Name: This is just a convenient way for a rule to be recognized by the human eyes; Changing the name of the rule will not affect the client in any way;
- Enable Rule: Enable or disable the rule;
- Username: Defined by the server. When the client communicates with the corresponding server, Username will be checked by the server against its identity database;
- Password: Password is used to protect the deployed rules. It is optional since the Access Key is sufficient in most scenarios;
- Access Key: Defined by the server. When the client communicates with the corresponding server, Access Key will be checked by the server against its identity database;
- Target IPs and Ports: When a network application starts a network connection, the VPN Client uses these four parameters to determine if the connection shall be protected.
- Server IP and Port: The address and port of K-Secure VPN™ Server;
- Test Server Connection: Use this button to test whether K-Secure VPN™ Server is reachable;
- Paste or import rules: The Paste button will not be accessible unless there is valid data on the Windows Clip Board.
- Allow Manual Editing: This is provided for advanced users only. Rules shall be pasted or imported. It is not recommended to change the rules manually.
- Delete Rule: When importing rules defined by a server, a particular rule might not be what is needed. Use this button carefully since the
corresponding connections will no longer be protected once the rule is deleted.
- Apply: Save the current rule. If K-Secure VPN™ Client is currently running, the new rule will take effect immediately.
