Section I Step 6: Import Configurations on the Client Side

We have exported two configurations in the previous step for John and Amy. The corresponding configuration files are John.kvr and Amy.kvr. Here we'll show the steps to import the configuration for John on Client Computer #1. When you are done with this, repeat the same procedure to import the configuration for Amy on Client Computer #2.

  1. Launch K-Secure VPN Client and click Servers.

  2. Click Import. The Import Configurations dialog shall come up -

Locate the configuration file obtained from your IT administrator and click Open.

  3. In case your IT administrator has set a password on the configuration file, you will see the following dialog:

  4. With the configurations imported, you can now start K-Secure VPN Client. Click Client Status and then click Start VPN Client, you shall see the following.

If everything went smoothly you shall see John's computer from the Peers page on the server (Note this is NOT the Peers page on the Client) -

Now repeat the same procedure to import the configurations for Amy on Client Computer #2. When you are done, you shall see both John and Amy are connected to the server from the Peers page of the server. Now go to the next step.
